Bank of New Hampshire this week welcomed guests for tours during the grand opening of the company's headquarters downtown. While much of the building's construction was completed in October, Tuesday's ribbon-cutting showed off additions finished this month, including the parking lot, drive-thru, landscaping and the iconic McClintock clock reproduction. The clock replica was built by Electric Time Company, as a faithful reproduction of the old McClintock-style chime clock, and affixed to the side of the bank. The original O.B. McClintock Company clock is believed to have been installed around 1900, and was destroyed in the demolition of the old Main Street building during urban renewal in 1969. The new clock is enhanced with technology like GPS synchronization to ensure precision within one microsecond. The construction took almost two years to complete.
