HEATH 2, LONGVIEW 1: Rockwall-Heath scored twice in the top of the sixth to erase a 1-0 deficit and held on for a 2-1 win over the Longview Lobos on Friday at Lobo Field.
Kieffer Doxey went 6.2 strong innings on the mound for the Lobos, striking out four, walking two and giving up two runs on five hits.
Javarey Valentine had two hits and scored the lone run for the Lobos. Bryson Denning had a hit and an RBI, and Drew Flores, Damien Kennedy and Roman Guidry all chipped in with hits.
The Lobos will host North Forney on Tuesday.
CARTHAGE 9, P. TREE 2: CARTHAGE — Cade Moore drove in three runs, River Leach singled and drove in two runs and the Carthage Bulldogs notched a 9-2 win over the Pine Tree Pirates.
Blayton LaGrone had two hits and an RBI for the Bulldogs, and Brooks Soape and Sam Watson drove in runs. Cade Ross fanned five and walked one in five innings. Leach struck out three with no walks or hits in 1.1 innings.
Peyton Hightree had two hits in the loss for Pine Tree. Bryllon Medrano singled and drove in a run, and Trey Nafrady had an RBI. Manuel Williams pitched two innings, striking out one and walking two. Bosston Johnson worked 2.2 innings with three strikeouts and two walks.
HENDERSON 10, GILMER 0: HENDERSON — Kayne Brantley went the distance on the hill for Henderson, striking out six with three walks in a three-hit shutout as the Lions notched a 10-0 win over Gilmer.
Caden Foster, Coy Freeman and Macen Jones all drove in two runs for Henderson. Foster doubled once and singled twice, and Freeman, Manning Bradley and Brantley all had two hits.
Ryder Lange and Brendon Darnold pitched for Gilmer. Lange struck out five, walked three and surrendered four earned runs in five innings. Zach Turner doubled for the Buckeyes.
TATUM 8, B. HILL 1: TATUM — Logan Cansler fanned a dozen and walked one while giving up one earned run in seven innings pitched to lead the Tatum Eagles past Brook Hill, 8-1.
Tucker Anthony doubled, singled and drove in two runs for Tatum. Colt Bullard added two hits and two RBI, and Kody Hines singled and drove in two runs. Cooper Whiteus singled twice, and Dustin Henigan chipped in with a single and an RBI.
W. RUSK 8, SABINE 0: LIBERTY CITY — Cole Jackson and Kullin Tavarez combined on a two-hit shutout for West Rusk as the Raiders blanked Sabine, 8-0.
Jackson worked five innings on the hill, striking out eight with two walks. Tavarez struck out all six of the batters he faced in two innings.
Kam Brown doubled twice and drove in two runs for West Rusk. Troy Hunley had a double, two singles and an RBI. Caiden Landon singled twice and plated a run, and Tavarez and Jason Reasoner both doubled. Reasoner and Jackson drove in runs.
Kellen Hill and Lincoln Royce had the hits for Sabine. Cole Loveless pitched four innings, striking out two, walking two and giving up one earned run. Hill pitched three innings, walking two and surrendering two earned runs.
HARLETON 10, BECKVILLE 0: HARLETON — Carson Wallace struck out six with two walks and no runs allowed on two hits in four innings, and Lucas Townlin drove in four runs with a double and a single as the Harleton Wildcats blanked Beckville, 10-0.
Wallace also had three hits for Harleton. Mason Clark had two hits and an RBI, and Buddy Nipp and Shawn Booth drove in runs.
Baker Seegers, Braxton Bullock and Reed Chapman all pitched for Beckville. Jackson Lambright and Aiden Brantley had the hits for the Bearcats, both singles.
OVERTON 9, U. GROVE 1: OVERTON — Landon Hill fanned six and walked four, giving up one earned run on five hits in seven innings for Overton as the Mustangs notched a 9-1 win over Union Grove.
Mason Rowe, Hill and Joey Zalman drove in two runs apiece for the Mustangs. Rowe had three hits, and Hill singled twice. Rylan Holleman and Jacob Osburn also drove in runs.
Ryder Martindale struck out six, walked six and gave up six earned runs in 4.1 innings for Union Grove. Judson George, Hudson Wightman, Ty Cook and Kayden Day had singles for the Lions.
L. CHAPEL 7, M. GROVE 5: LAIRD HILL — Trent Wheat singled and drove in three runs to lead the Leverett’s Chapel Lions to a 7-5 win over Miller Grove.
Dewaylon Brown doubled once and singled twice. Carson Ford tripled, singled and drove in two runs. Keaton Geter singled twice, and Ethan Williams added a single and two RBI. Ethan Kirk fanned four and walked three in 4.2 innings on the mound. Wheat fanned six and walked five in two frames.
HAWKINS 10, M. MILL 5: MARTIN’S MILL — Brayden Givens struck out 11 in 5.2 innings on the hill for Hawkins, walking six and giving up one earned run as the Hawks notched a 10-5 win over Martin’s Mill.
Riggin Smith fanned four in 2.1 innings of work. Paxton Metcalf banged out three hits for Hawkins. Eli Smith and Givens both doubled, singled and drove in a run. Riggin Smith and Hunter Kirklin had two hits apiece. Kirklin and Tilar Maberry had two RBI apiece, and Trevin Tanner drove in a run. Landen Burns also chipped in with a double.
CHCS 12, LCS 7: Griff Holt tripled, singled and drove in two runs, Eli Roraback had a pair of singles and three RBI and the Christian Heritage Classical School Sentinels knocked off crosstown rival Longview Christian School, 12-7.
Jed Bowers doubled once, singled twice and drove in a run for the Sentinels. Slade Scott added two hits. Rhett Gladeen singled twice and drove in a run. Sawyer Brumit had a single and two RBI, and Ryder Swain chipped in with a single and an RBI.
Owen Holcomb struck out eight, walked four and allowed no earned runs in four innings pitched. Colt Stone fanned four with no walks or hits allowed in three innings.
