A stretch of I-94 in Wayne County will be closed this weekend for repairs to the Cecil Avenue overpass.
Beginning at 9 p.m. Friday, June 27, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will close the eastbound highway between Michigan Avenue (U.S. 12) and Livernois Avenue.
Drivers won’t be able to access the eastbound lanes until around 11 p.m. Sunday, June 29. Similarly, entrance ramps will be closed from Wyoming Avenue, Weir Street and Lonyo Street.
A posted detour will route drivers off the highway using Michigan and Livernois avenues.
Road work is weather-dependent and could be delayed if conditions aren’t ideal. A complete list of road projects is available through MDOT’s online map and construction list.
