BIG PINE, Calif. (KMJ) — A 4.0 earthquake hit the Big Pine area in the mountains of Inyo County around 4:20 a.m. on Friday.
Big Pine is located in Owens Valley between the Sierra Nevada and the White Mountains northeast of Fresno.
Two smaller quakes of magnitude 2.5 and 2.8 was felt earlier in the morning near the city of Bishop to the north.
No damage has been reported.
