After Uruguay pulled off the first shock of the Rugby World Cup with a stunning 30-27 victory over Fiji, we've got some of the highlights from the historic game.

It was the only match today, but what a game it was as the South American minnows saw off the Pacific Islanders in style.

Uruguay's thrilling upset was a fitting way to mark the opening of the new Kamaishi Recovery Memorial Stadium, which was built as a reminder to the people of the coastal fishing town which was almost wiped off the map by the earthquake and tsunami of 2011.

Uruguay scored only two tries in the whole of the 2015 World Cup but they had three by half-time today.

There was little hint of the drama to come when Fijian hooker Mesulame Dolokoto opened the scoring with an eighth-minute try.

But Uruguay led 24-12 at the end of the first half and showed great character to fend off a Fiji comeback and be deserved victors.

Fiji's players following their shock loss to Uruguay

Santiago Arata, Manuel Diana and Juan Manuel Cat got Uruguay's tries with outside-half Felipe Berchesi converting all three and kicking three penalties.

Fiji's tries came from Mesulame Dolokoto, Eroni Mawi, Api Ratuniyarawa and Niko Matawalu to claim a losing bonus point.

It means Fiji are four points behind Australia and leaders Wales in Pool D.
