5.5 Tremor rocks southern Iran

TEHRAN, Oct 23 (KUNA) -- An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale rocked Hormuzgan province, southern Iran, on Monday.
According to the seismological center of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the tremor occurred at 3:54 hours local time (0:24 GMT Monday) in an area located at 57.10 degrees longitude and 27.86 degrees latitude and in the depth of 20 kilometers, according to IRNA.
There is no immediate report on possible casualties or damages, the agency added.(end).
