'Cuse vs. Penn
- This is the fifth meeting all time between Syracuse and Penn, with the Orange undefeated and the overall record 4-0.
- Syracuse is 1-0 under head coach Ange Bradley vs. the Quakers, with the Orange beating Penn 4-0 in their last contest.
- Two of the four matchups have been decided by a single goal.
- Penn is 1-2 vs. common opponents with the Orange this season, having defeated Drexel and fallen to Rutgers and North Carolina.

Record Watch
- Syracuse has shut out ten opponents thus far in 2017, one shy of matching the program record of 11 from 1993.
- Two more shutouts would put Syracuse into the top-20 all-time in NCAA history.
- The majority of those top-20 came prior to 1995 as well. Since '95, only three teams nationally have recorded 12 or more shutouts in a single season.

ACC Seed Locked
- Syracuse is locked in as the 6th seed in this year's ACC tournament in Louisville.
- Last time that they were ranked 6th, in the 2014 tournament in Durham, they made it to the championship game by defeating Boston College and North Carolina before losing 2-0 to Wake Forest.
- It was also their first ACC Championship Game appearance.
- Their opponent will be determined by the Virginia vs. Louisville matchup on Saturday. Those two teams are playing for the ACC regular season title and No. 1 overall seed.
- Should Louisville win, Syracuse would face Duke – who the Orange defeated 2-1 earlier this month. Should Virginia win, 'Cuse would square off with host-team Louisville, who the Orange fell to in double overtime in their earlier meeting this season.
