WDI Device Uses SUREedge® to Efficiently Migrate Workloads to the Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform

Key Business Applications from Physical and Virtual Servers Migrated to the Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform using Sureline’s SUREedge® - Migrator Software

SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA, US, July 12, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Sureline Systems, a leader in physical, virtual and cloud migration and disaster recovery solutions, announced today that WDI Device, a global provider of Digital Autofocus Sensors, based in Ontario, Canada, used the SUREedge Migrator software to successfully migrate existing services to its newly purchased Nutanix platform.

After making the decision to move to the Nutanix enterprise cloud platform for performance reasons, WDI began moving their business-critical applications, such as Autodesk, Jira, and Vault from a physical to virtual environment using free migration tools. However, after further analysis and initial deployment, they found the P2V tools they were using caused errors. WDI then decided to move forward with Sureline’s SUREedge®-Migrator solution based on several successful migrations completed with other Nutanix customer’s critical applications.

Sureline installed SUREedge®- Migrator software remotely into the WDI environment, planned the migration requirements, and then migrated both the physical servers and virtual VM’s securely and reliably to Nutanix with AHV. Once the migration to Nutanix on AHV was complete, they were able to validate their applications were running properly.
